Vernacular name for the annelid worm Enchytraeus buchholzi (Vejdovsky, 1879), a species commonly cultured by aquarists for use as live fish food. Smaller, more adaptable, and temperature-tolerant than the related white worm, Enchytraeus albidus Henle, 1937.
